The experiments are launched in pop-up windows. If nothing happens when you click the "Launch!" button you may need to disable your pop-up blocker. These are thingamajiggers I've made as experiments with Flash. If the experiments aren't loading for you please download the latest Flash Player here and try again.
Awesome, Kinda
Lots of lines on top of each other with color gradiating to black.
Bike
Playing around with Verlet Integration. UP/DOWN for forward/reverse and LEFT/RIGHT to tilt the bike backward/forward.
Microphone
This ia a little test that records the input volume from your microphone. If you don't have a microphone this will not work.
Aureus Dynasty Map Editor
I created this tool to help build Aureus Dynasty maps more quickly than typing the tiles in manually.
The Buddha Test
A visual aid/class quiz for a history presentation. Buddha fans rejoice!
Crazy Wave
One of those turned-out-cool on accident deals. Watch it for long enough and it will repeat.
Sierra Flag Wave
Another variation of the flag.
Flag Wave
A variation of the wave effect.
Wave
This uses dynamic masks and a sine wave to make a cool flag-in-the-wind sort of effect.
Got Cool? Site v3
A previous version of the site, developed in Flash.
Got Cool? Site v2
A previous version of the site, developed in Flash.
Got Cool? Site v1
A previous version of the site, developed in Flash.
Cool
Distance formula, kinda neat. One of my first completely scripted experiments, no pre-drawn anything, completely AS and drawing API.
Bounce
Ooo ahh mouse trail!
Circle Boingy Thing
This is a boingy majigger circle laggy if you press 'balls++' a billion times thing!!!
Scope
Started out as a sniper game, but didn't get very far.
Beatbox
An early experiment with dynamic sound control. I didn't create the sound loops used.
Processing
The experiments are launched in pop-up windows. If nothing happens when you click the "Launch!" button you may need to disable your pop-up blocker. These are some toys made with Processing, a free program that's really easy to use. If the Processing experiments aren't loading for you please download Java here and try again.
Rag Doll
Attatched some graphics to the basic engine, also tweaked it a tad. Enjoy.
Rag Doll 0.5
The basic ragdoll engine I was working on is pretty much done. You can drag the body parts and yank the doll around where ever you want.
Verlet Integration (aka Ragdoll Physics)
Verlet Integration is a technique mostly used in ragdoll systems, but it can also be used for simple rigid body physics as shown here. In my experience with VI I've noticed it isn't extremely stable, but still fun to use. To drag the cube hold shift and press and hold your mouse down. To drag any of the balls (except the large static one) hold control and press and hold your mouse.
Three D
Messing around with 3D --> 2D matrices, not too exciting.
Spiral
This wasn't what I was thinking when I started writing this script, but it turned out alright. Click for a different spiral.
Push
This is a fun little toy experimenting with collision between circles. Press the mouse to make it a 'pusher.' Press any key to toggle gravity on/off.
Fountain
What started out as help for someone on the flashkit.com forums turned into this!
Balls
Watch the balls drop!
Water, Kinda
More accidental cool toys. Press and drag to make waves, kinda.
Sine Waves
Watch the sine wave progress, click to reset with a different frequency/wavelength.
Mouse Dodge
Move your mouse around and observe the distance formula at work!
Mountains
These randomly generated mountains are created with Perlin noise, click on the applet for something new.
